Reine de Dijon was founded by Mr. Fauroy who began manufacturing authentic Fauroy mustard that he then sold to local retailers.

An authentic Dijon mustard maker since 1840, Reine de Dijon is still based in the heart of the Dijon area, Burgundy, France. Made from protected recipes, all of the Dijon mustards and whole grain mustards as well as mustard specialties are free from flavorings, colorings, cereal flours and thickeners. 

 In 1998. Reine de Dijon became a subsidiary of the German family owned and managed group Develey, a specialist in mustard and condiments.
