Dr Schär is the European market leader with the widest range of basic, dried and frozen gluten-free food products.
Founded as a joint project of local Innsbruck doctor Dr A. Schar and Bozen-based entrepreneur Untertrifaller in 1922, the company began to focus on the production of gluten-free foods in 1981.
They are producing a wide range of gluten-free products from flour and ready-made baking mixtures to various bread, bread substitute and pasta varieties, savoury snacks, sweet treats and frozen products.
Every single stage of the production process is monitored. Highly specialised industrial processes are based on complex production techniques that have been developed by Dr Schär.
