Reverse California maki roll

Preparation

  • Roll out the bamboo mat and wrap it in cling film.
  • Place nori seaweed on the mat, glossy side down.
  • Put 1/4 of prepared rice onto nori and turn the sheet over, so the rice is on the bottom.
  • Place the surimi stick, a cucumber strip and avocado onto the nori sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of mayonaise and roll it up using the bamboo mat.
  • Cling film should make rolling easier. Wrap up and gently squeeze to make it tighter.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and cut into 6-8 rolls.

Garnish with extra sesame seeds and caviar.
